Wrist Rotators

The Motion Control Wrist Rotator exceeds the performance of any previous wrist. At twice the speed and twice the torque, it becomes a more active function of the prosthesis rather than only a positioning device. Mounts in the forearm of a Utah Arm, Hybrid Arm or ProControl 2. Available in tan, brown, or black.

The Motion Control Powered Flexion Wrist provides active wrist flexion and extension or active wrist radial/ulnar deviation. The device attaches via an industry standard quick disconnect. The corresponding hand is permanently attached to the distal end of the wrist. The controller in the PFW provides proportional control of flexion/extension, a pause at home feature and TD/Wrist switching by co-contraction or fast access triggers. The PFW is IPX7 water resistant

The 10S17 Electric Wrist Rotator provides the electrical rotation of the Ottobock System Electric Hand or Greifer. This product can be operated in combination with all Ottobock System Electric Hands and System Greifers that are equipped with the Quick Disconnect Wrist. The wrist rotator is required for pronation and supination of the hand. If muscular tension is not sufficient for operation with the 13E205 MyoRotonic, the 10S17 can be controlled by the 9X14 Harness Pull Switch, the 9X18 Traction Switch, or the 9X25 Rocker Switch.

Össur’s i-Limb Wrist offers simultaneous rotation and direct rotational control. Simultaneous rotation is when accessing a grip through any control option on the i-Limb Quantum hand the i-Limb Wrist will automatically and simultaneously rotate to the pre-set rotation for that grip. In direct rotation, the wrist can be directly rotated without changing grip, using SMART control. SMART control is calibrated during set up of the prosthesis to the individual user’s unique muscle activities. Traditional control methods of cocontraction or high/ low are also available. The i-Limb Wrist is for individuals with transradial level absence, allowing the prosthesis to have the complete functionality utilizing Össur components.
